You can search by name, case number, or hearing date. Criminal cases use the prefix CR. The data is real time and free. For misdemeanor or traffic charges that did not get bumped up to Circuit, use the General District Court case search. The General District Court phone is 804-733-2781. Many short jail terms end in General District Court and never make it to the state offender locator. Court files often hold the sentence length, the conviction date, and any probation terms.
